Sunday Stills...Coffee and Tea Cups

For more Sunday Stills.....

We have quite a selection of old tea cups. Some belonged to the boss's late mom. Some have been given to me by several wonderful folks, including my own dear mother. These are just a couple of them.

Update: And here is my good friend Dickiebo's idea of a Sunday Still

Tea cups are nice. Tea Parties, not so much!

Dibear, thank you. My late mother-in-law found it at a garage sale and gave it to me to keep for our son when he makes his own home. I like it too

Lisa, thanks!

Ed, I suspect that it is, but I don't really know...and thanks

Greg, hmmmm, I find tea parties, both the original and the ones taking place today, to embody the very essence of what makes America th great land that it is and has been. If the little folks don't like what is being dumped on them by big government they can stand up and complain. Sorry you prefer a different version of the USA, but isn't it grand that we are able to differ freely!

Lovely, lovely lines. Puts me in mind of that Chinese vase that just sold for gazillions of dollars at auction. A mother and her son were clearing out a deceased aunt's modest home . . .

Addendum:

Just read your comments.

Thank you for your reasoned, quintessentially American attitude toward the most recent tea party manifestation of what makes this country such an exceptional place.

I'd like to "see" both of those....I often wonder how the British influence determined the types of teacups we have both here and in the US.

Cathy, hubby is a big fan of Antiques Road Show, so we take delight in just those stories. I once found a little game for a nickel at a garage sale that I sold for twenty bucks...not in the same league, but the biggest profit I ever made. lol

Linda, that is an interesting point. Never thought of it, but I imagine it was probably quite pronounced.

Flo, thank you!

Shirley, thanks, to tell the truth I didn't even realize how intricate it was until I photographed it.

dickiebo, now that is getting into the "spirit" of things. lol

Far side, thanks, I have several color combinations and patterns of the latter and I love them all

Brenda, who could blame him? lol and thanks!

TCSL, thank you!

Ericka, it is smaller than is the norm. How incredibly cool that you have one too!

Great shots! It's hard to shoot round like things and you did it well.
