Depeche-toi

That is what I call this guy. He has a partner named "Hurry Up". They meet me every day when I go out to fill the feeders. You may need to click the first two shots because of the cluttered background....sorry about that.

PS, I don't know if it is clear, but that is my feed scoop that they are landing in. I was holding it in one hand with the camera in the other.

I've more than a few of this guys cousins down my way. I'll be filling one feeder and they will be visiting the other just a few feet away or sitting in the branches watching and waiting for me to rehang the feeder. I'm sure that if I just filled myhand and stood still, they would be right there grabing their seeds ASAP.

Great shots. They come and steal the dog food when I feed it out side. Brave little boogers! :)

What a cute little eager chickadee-dee-dee! If you moved just a little more slowly, I bet he'd clean you out before you got to the feeder!

I love those photos! I can't help but be cheered up by the chickadees.

joated, they are one of the high points of my day in just the way you describe. It is has been kinda cold for waiting for them to land in my hand but other years I have done so. So cool to feel those little feet.

JB, they are brave! They follow me around when I work in the house yard. I get such a kick out of them

Linda, thanks, sorry they are so blurry. I just set the camera on continuous and let it click and took what I got

June, lol, they seem to learn from each other. One has been coming to the feed scoop and grabbing that first seed of the day all winter. Now some other ones are doing it too.

NW, thanks, they are huge favorites of mine, the boldest funniest little critters. Looks like we have even MORE crappy weather to mess up our date. Dang it.

Good thing you're ambidextrous :p
