Bling and Chrome

Bling

Chrome

Bling's name isn't set in stone yet, but she is a brand new baby daughter of Liz's Fustead Emory Blitz daughter, Mendocino (we just call her Blitz) She was sired by Myrik.

Can you believe how big she is? Liz had to order a 2X large calf coat for her even though she was just born, because all our normal coats were way too small for her!

Chrome is closely related to her, being a daughter of Blitz's full sister, Neon Moon, but by our own bull O-C-E-C Lindy Fred ET.

Big? She needs a saddle! THen you can ride her around the yard as you do the rest of your chores. ;-)

Love the names. Haha! Yay for healthy, strong (and huge) babies.

Gorgeous calves! Love the aubergine color on the coat :)

joated, she is a big one indeed. That whole family has run to monster big calves since grandma Mandy was born. her mother had her out on the hill and when I saw them coming down through the woods together I thought someone's angus bull had gotten in our pasture!

Kristen, one of the fun parts of having them is coming up with names. We encourage participation from friends and family in the great naming game

Nita, thanks, we are having a rash of big ones this year. Had a gigantic bull out of a smallish cow yesterday and ended up with her prolapsed and an emergency vet call and a very long miserable night for all concerned.
