Friends in High Places

In this case the roost. The queen gets down to eat when I am there, but the king stays on the roost and peers down his beak at me.

How very privileged you are to be in their presence.

If I were that purty I'd probably be looking down my nose, too :-)

Jan, lol, I really enjoy them. They are very wild, and yet pretty calm as long as I don't try to touch them

FC, thanks, we are going to have to put up some kind of run so they can go outside in the summer. I can't wait to see the sun on those feathers

Lisa, I think they are. It is hard to be sure, as they are very, very wary and cautious around me, but their eyes are bright and their feather shiny. I love them!

Cathy, lol, you should see the little feathers in his tail when the sun hits them. They look like fiery copper wires! I have been looking at photos of them in their native India on the peafowl boards. They are pretty here. They are staggeringly, blindingly incredible there in the wild. Wow!

Cathy M, thanks!
