Sunday Stills...the Color Yellow

This little lady didn't sing to me, but at least she came out for her portrait

All are clickable and two clicks will embigenate a bunch

I tried for yellow birds. There are enough of them around.....Gold finches, common yellow throat, yellow warblers galore. Alas, because of all the green I could hear them, but not see them.

So here is some yellow that would sit still for the camera and not hide in the shrubberies.

For more Sunday Stills......

See...now that's what a picture of a yellow iris should look like...

And what, what, what! is the styrofoam looking clickable flower? It looks so sumptuous as to be edible!

Love the water lily shot and I'm so jealous- no pond here for them. They look awesome floating in martini glasses (instead of a vase).

Great shots, I was thinking birds too but I'll save them for the next challenge..;-))

Beautiful flowers! Loved them all. :)

I love them all and if I lived closer I'd be over this fall for a shovel of that lemony iris;)

I love your flowers. Had to look twice to see who came out for her portrait.

Aren't those yellow birds the most frustrating creatures? You would think those bright yellow feathers would be easy to spot. Not so. Love the yellow you could capture.

Such vibrant color. Lovely. That second photo makes me want to reach out and touch that lovely "puddle" of yellow.

June, thanks! That is a water lily on the garden pond. They are doing pretty well this summer and making a lot of flowers.

BBI, thanks! My pond is a 300-gallon Rubbermaid water trough set partially in the ground and planted inside and out. I have a Wally-word special filter and fountain pump, but it works real well...sort of a poor man's instant pond. lol

Ed, thanks, coincidentally I set up a new feeder for photography before I knew about the challenge. Hoping some birds find it soon. lol

Dani, thanks!

dibear, thank you

Linda, thank you, I wish you did so you could. They come from an iris grower out on the west coast, but I am darned if I can remember the name of it. We had dozens (the boss's mom and I) but most of them have succumbed to iris borer, which doesn't bother the less lovely local varieties.

Shirley, thanks! There is always a pretty white crab spider out there every summer. This is by far the largest ever

Lisa, they sure are! I got some pretty good pics before the leaves came out, but now the singers are invisible.

MT, thanks!

Brenda, thank you!

Jan, thanks, wish I could remember the name of the company my late mother in law purchased them from. They had amazing irises

Lisa, thanks, it is so pretty this summer

WW, thanks, the photo didn't even really do it justice. I find the water lilies a real challenge to shoot.

RG, thanks, I am working on getting some good pics of the water lilies. For some reason they are hard for me to capture.

Lori, thank you! The birds sure weren't cooperating this week.
