We call brome "cheat" or cheat grass. It's kind of a pest around wheat.

Jeffro, wow, thanks! I had read about cheat grass in novels about the West, but I had no idea that it is what we call brome. I love learning things like that.It is a useful hay grass here...sucks for the lawn though. lol

Cathy, all week it drove me nuts walking past patches of it on the way to the barn. It just begged to be photographed. Finally I got a round tuit. lol
