Hard Frost

Last night. Ice on the car, daffodils melted down to the ground and black.

They may come back though.

The boss let the fire expire yesterday so as soon as we got up we went out to forage for wood and getter going.

Got all warmed up with that job anyhow.

We had company this weekend. The young folks below stopped by for supper on Saturday and then watched a movie here. A pretty girl and mama's meatloaf will bring them young men running every time.....even from Virginia. It was a surprise visit and more welcome than you can imagine.

Doesn't this grass look good! If only it was in the pasture instead of on the lawn

And I heard an odd noise in the office yesterday morning. It sounded like water dripping in the bath tub so I went in to turn it off. Um, it was already off.

Then I decided some exotic bird was sitting out on the porch chirping at me.

So I trekked outside to take a look and there was this little guy all excited about something, perhaps his new address. I've got news for him.....the cats police the porch pretty thoroughly so,,,,,he'd better watch out. And he had also better STAY out!
