Catch and Release

Sunfish

The fishing was spotty last week at camp. One of these. One of those. Two of something else. Fun and all, but no incentive to keep anything for a fish fry.

Thus no fish were harmed any more than necessary during last week's fishy adventures.

Fall fish

A just-under-keeper-sized small mouthed bass
which put up a heck of a fight....and yes, they were all caught from the comfort of the front porch,
which reaches right out over the water.

We did take mug shots though.

I don't think I've ever appreciated the wonderful patterning of those fish. (I guess I've given myself away as never having fished much. Of course I've never had a front porch hovering above a lovely lake :)

Linda, no, the week was cold and more hectic than I might have preferred, but when all is said and done, you can't beat camp.

Cathy, I only get to fish at camp, but I like it. This year was more fun than usual because I caught such interesting fish.
