Passwords

This guy is more patient than his wife

Is anyone else having trouble with websites failing to recognize passwords and having to change them every month when paying bills? This is driving me nuts. I write them down, plus ask the browser to remember them. They are always forgotten and never right.

This is only with utilities. Everything else works fine and as expected. Since we got this new computer I have had to change my pw every month on both the power and cable company. Sometimes more than once. Dang it is aggravating.

As Alan says, why do you make it so hard for me to give you money? I think they make it hard so people will just give up and sign on for autopay. Not happening.

I'm still amazed that the head of the DNC used password as his password.

I believe it's NOT your computer; it's the utility companies' websites. Yes, they DO make it hard, to "encourage" you to allow them to auto-deduct. No, it's not a good idea to give them your bank account info. And yes, you're right. It's a PITA.

I agree with Rev. Paul. It is NOT your computer. It IS the power company and the cable company. I've not had any sort of problem with online billing since I sold the place in the Adirondacks.

Jan, it boggles the mind, doesn't it!

Rev. Paul, thanks, it has been driving me up the wall! I will never allow any entity to force me to auto pay, but I sure am sick of changing my password.

Joated, I am glad to read this. You don't want to know what I set as my most recent password....it was not terribly polite. lol

I think everyone wants us to go to online billing! That always alarms me...free access to my bank account!!!
