Jan, you betcha. And balers are so absurdly complicated as to frustrate the best of them. Imagine metal that has to pick up and pack hay, wrap string around it, KNOT the string, and then toss the result into a wagon. And if just one needle, or knife, or odd bit of knotter goes off none of it works. Ugh!

Hi - We are looking to introduce more agricultural concepts into our elementary school curriculum. Here is one story we included as a supplement to 2nd grade science- “The Story of a Hay Bale”. The pictures were taken on a family farm in Colombia County New York.
