Hi Jan, she was for a little while, but she is a very strong baby and by this morning she was following everyone around the barn and drinking from everyone who would stand still. lol
Great series of photos! That's exactly what the birth of a calf looks like, membranes and all. Most other baby animals are so small that one can't really see the birth process. Thanks for sharing!
Great pictures of the calving. I have filmed a charolais cow calving so that other people can share the experience. It doesn't matter how many times I see a calf born, I am still amazed at how quickly they can lift their head, stand and suckle. Nature is truely amazing! Thanks for sharing - I will visit again to checkout the calve's progress.
Oh my GOSH ! ! I've been missing all your posts because when I'd click on I saw the one about your brother and assumed you hadn't posted since then. I'm a techno-moron !!! Arggggg!
This is just so wonderful - the miracle of new beginnings - I've got to show my hubby.
Cathy, sorry about that. I should have made it clear that it was a sticky post. He rides in the Tour de Cure every year and I support him in any way I can

How exciting!! It seems so tiny and helpless.
