Sarpy Sam alertly caught this amazing headline...if it hasn't been changed by the time you get there. I am wondering if the wolf choked on a bone, or if the calf packed more wallop than your average Angus or something, but I am thinking it is quite an event anyhow.

It had already been changed to the obverse by the time I got there. Just another story about a stock rancher losing more cattle to the wolves.
The comment thread there is already polarized over the story anyway. No sense in adding my Eastern Asshat's POV to the mix over there. LOL
But, having lost a few calves to the coyotes (anybody remember when we called them "coydogs") I must say my sympathy lies with the rancher.
Now, if they'd have been taking the deer that were raiding the garden, my sympathy might have lain in the other direction...
It really is approaching the endtime then. I think this comes right after the flying pig and just before the lion lying down with the lamb?
Reminds me of the Zen question: if a cat chokes on a mouse, who killed who?
Hi Wil, sorry you missed the original headline as it was truly amazing. I am grateful for the absence of wolves here, but we do have the coyotes...and a grey fox, which ate all my hens and the tail off my rooster this week. Danged thing.
Paul, welcome to Northview.....anything is possible!
Jan good question....
