Ah-ha! We'll be looking forward to the details!
Hi NW, not much to tell. We went up to Grandma and Grandpa's yesterday to celebrate his birthday (Great Cake!)
We came home a little early so Daniel Boone could get in a little hunting...he was gone about twenty minutes and then came in for some rope and a knife. He missed two bucks including "the big one", but got a mid-sized doe with a perfect head shot. Didn't ruin an ounce of meat. We still have another doe tag and three buck tags, although probably won't fill them.
Hmm, sounds good!
Mon@rch, we had some tenderloin steaks for dinner last night and they were wonderful!
We need pictures and details please!!
Well done, and congratulations!!
Patrick
Pat, too late for pictures unless I put the camera in the freezer. She was just a small one, but he aimed for the back of her head and dropped her with that one shot....(having missed those two bucks). We had venison tenderloin steaks seasoned the way we like them and baked with bacon and baked potatoes for dinner night before last.....real good stuff.
Hope you and yours have a great Thanksgiving day....and....you should really start a blog. You write so well. The world is waiting.
We have three deer in the fridge. We pay a guy $30 to do them and we package the meat. There are pics on my blog of the packaging. We have already made some delicious jerky from the steaks.
WR, three! That is great. We made the kid take a break from hunting because we don't have time right now to cut up any more, but I do hope he gets another.
