Life on a family farm in the wilds of Upstate New York

Poor guy! My husband feels sorry for all the guys around here. But I like the bulls, since we are selling meat. We sell heifers as meat too, but the boys behave better once they get past a certain age. Let's hope for more heifers for you.
Hi Nita, we are thinking about putting some of these little bulls on feed ourselves...we are real short of room, but the weather should warm up soon so some big heifers can go to pasture. We just sold an 86-pound bull calf, a really nice one, and got twenty dollars for him. If we had ANY place to put him we would have kept him. We really wanted to.
Wish I lived closer.....I bought two sweet little jersey bull calves last year at this time. They will go in the freezer this fall. I had extra milk so it works out great for me.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for heifers!

Deb, I wish you did too. He is really cute and lively. I think Liz has a line on a Jersey farm not too far from us that may want him. He is very well bred.
And thanks for the crossed fingers....,much appreciated!
