He was out building fence.

I have admired, nay, lusted after, this rock for years and years and years. ....some folks like diamonds...for me it's field stone every time. However, as you can see from the distant shot of the skid steer bucket, it is HUGE! And it was all the way at the back of the heifer pasture at the top of the hill behind the hill in yesterday's middle photo (see previous post).

I never even asked. It wouldn't have been fair to expect someone who works so hard to bring me something so difficult...just for fun
Thus when he came down yesterday and sent me out to see what he had brought me I was thrilled. This an amazing hunk of landscape. Now to decide where to put it.

Very cool rock! I would love to hear what a geologist has to say about it's origins. Are you going to clean it up or leave it au naturel? I have a much desired rock up in our woods, but without large equipment, it will have to be admired where it stands!

Oh, you are a girl after my own heart. I actually have a fence post that was sticking up by a thread on the ditch bank. I told Terry someday I was going to dig up that old fence post a put it in my yard.
Awhile later he came in with said fence post...I still have it.

Jan, I think I have one tiny diamond that my mama gave me. I love it because my mama gave it to me and it is in an incredibly lovely piece of jewelry. But rocks....yeah....just yeah...
