More babies
Liz found and photographed these little killdeers hanging out with her horse. We also found a pair of kittens inside the barn wall, where they had fallen down from the haymow. A little wall destruction and they joined their mamas in the stable.
Hi cathy, the boss tore some boards off the inside wall with a hammer and screw driver. He likes kitties. The killdeer were so funny, walking right under the horse's feet. He was very careful not to step on them
Cube, we try to keep the barn kittens going when we can. They grow up to perform a valuable service for us.

"A little wall destruction . . ."? By you or the momma kitty? I'm thinking there was some kindly human intervention.
That baby killdeer is a hoot. Galivanting out amongst the horses - isn't that something. Silly birds.
That was sweet... the wall destruction, I mean. Reuniting mama & kittens is a good thing.
Killdeer chicks HAVE to be the cutest little bird there is. Especially when they're freshly hatched.

Loubob, they are like fuzzy, animated toys.
I'm so glad you were able to help the kittens. And the killdeer is so cute. Thanks!
Oh gosh it has been a while since I spotted a baby killdeer. Soooo cute! Great picture too!
Hi laurie, we couldn't stand to listen to the poor things in the wall.
Joni, something was after them in the night last night. I am hoping they got away. We could hear the parents screaming about nine PM
Good shot Liz!
That is one cute bird.
She says, thanks, FC
