LOL! That's quite the debutante you have there.

Would it be totally "non rural" to say "how cute"?

Hi moos, and thanks

Sara, thank you

Mrs. M, she is a bit of a character

Jan, no we do cute too. Thanks...I was so delighted to get a heifer from her mother, who is one of my very favorite old cows and has only ever had one other.

What a great looking calf!!! I'm not sure about the name Bama??? Me being a Tennessee fan. Maybe the next name should be Knoxville. hahaha

Awwwww. Congrats on your new sweetheart. I'm so glad 'cute' is OK. Cause she is really cute.

I wonder what it is about a particular cow that endears her to you.

Hi Cathy, thanks...I guess they become favorites when they don't kick, are clean, or give a lot of milk and come into their stall without an argument. Old Beausoleil likes to lick people and begs for someone to sweep her with the broom or brush her by turning big, sorrowful, brown eyes on them. Plus she doesn't kick, gives a fair amount of milk and is just nice to work around.
