Dog Day in the Afternoon

"Er, I dunno, it looks pretty big to me"

Ren supposedly loves the water. However, when introduced to the big lake, she first tried to run and hide, and then swam out and climbed up on Liz's head. A tea cup Chihuahua she is not.

"And deep. It looks deep too"
We had a lot of fun with her though. She is one of those splashy, flashy dogs that paddle with their front feet in the air and tip over backwards and look all comical and silly. Obviously she is not a Labrador either. Nor a Portuguese water dog. Spaniel. Shark. Nope, not so much.

"Um, thanks, but, not today....see my teeth? That's not a sharky grin, that's sheer terror."

"No, really, after you! I mean, seriously!
 Maybe next year

"Oh, alright...but there is no law that says I have to like it...."

Liz will just have to keep on trying!

Isn't that something.
Dogs are so neat.
And families that love them are pretty neat, too.

Molly isn't interested in water either except the roadside ditch and her water bowl. Both of those satisfy any water needs she has.
And I kept thinking, all last week, that she'd be so much more comfortable if she'd get wet. No dice.

Lisa, it was really funny at least....lots of laughter

Cathy, I am itching to get a puppy now. lol

Linda, there was plenty of laughter here too. If you could have seen that dog trying to get up on Liz's head.....

June, aren't they funny? Of our BCs Mike adored the water, and would have swum himself to death if I let him. The other two weren't much more enthusiastic than Ren
