Little Things
Can mean so much. Last Saturday, Alan took his sister, his fiance, and a friend to NYC for a quick tour of the most popular sites. While they were at the World Trade Center Memorial, they took the time to find this name on the wall....Carl Anthony DiFranco. Cold chills ran over me when I saw this photo in a text he sent me. You see, I feel as if we knew this young man, who perished so suddenly and needlessly in that horrific act of terrorism. Thank you kids, for being so incredibly thoughtful as to interrupt your day in the big city to find and photograph this for me. It meant a lot.
Oh my. What a poignant gift. So very, very big. I hadn't thought of Ronald Orsini in a great while. Thank you. http://lookingup1.blogspot.com/2006/09/2996-ronald-orsini-victim-of-911.html

A pause and a time for prayer. Thank you.

When I went to the memorial, it was a very fitting memorial from my perspective. I thought it was beautiful and peaceful.
Cathy, I was so touched that they thought to do this for me.
Linda, such sorrow for our nation, and all too quickly forgotten in this fast moving world
Lisa, I have never been, but from Alan working under the Trade Center, I think I have gotten a sense of what it must be like.
