You Gotta Read This

Long time blog friend Alphecca shared this outrageous overreach of government power this morning. Seems like the feds want you to get a permit before you click that selfie in the wilderness.

I left a comment....for what it's worth...You can too, if you feel so moved. Here is another link Jeff shared with some clarification of the potential ramifications of this one. First Amendment anyone?

Federal property (that which We the People own, dang it!) ought be to be the most free, but the opposite is true.

Try walking into a post office with a sidearm ... rights? You ain't GOT no rights!

My mind just flat out refuses this.
Hubby is sitting her going: "Riiiight. America. Land of the Free . . . home of the brave.

I have heard (but I don't know) that this permitting business applies only to commercial entities, not to hikers snapping a view from a mountaintop or families sitting around a campfire.

REv. Paul, I was outraged!

Cathy, but where have all the brave gone?

Jacqueline, I wondered if that was the case, but it kind of looks as if it applies to all. Might be a case of bad wording in the regulation, but it certainly deserves attention.
