A Little Slice of Farm Life

Liz made this video of the young birds the kids have raised from chicks, which have now moved up to a big coop. You can hear the sounds of the day in the background, the lambs querying when their next meal will arrive, the roosters crowing, the radio playing country music in hopes of keeping varmints at bay.

I like it and find myself playing it over and over again, despite being able to walk right down to the barn if I want to.

I'm maintaining a pair of mallards in my front yard. Clean water and a bread crumbs.
I don't know how you all manage the numbers - the responsibility. It's huge.

They remind me of people who are in a hurry but don't get any where.

Cathy, wild mallards? How cool! Liz and Jade do the chicken stuff with help from Alan when he can get home. I just enjoy the good eggs. lol

Jan, they are busy little creatures, the more so because these guys are together for the first time having been in several different transitional brooders. Got to get that pecking order settled. lol

Merri, glad you enjoyed it. I though it was a cute little cross section of our world.

LInda, thanks, I liked the job Liz did with it too.
