Colorado snowstorm act of God

..or so says PeTA, so tough luck for Western cattle and wildlife...

If you have a minute, listen to these short MP3 clips of an interview session with Colorado Governor Bill Owens, Denver radio station KRFX and a representative of the reprehensible animal rights organization. Just in case you ever thought that they gave a damn, you will see for sure that their agenda doesn't include real kindness for real animals.

Forgive the strong language but... check out...

Anyone who supports PETA should be forced to watch this video above.

  2. I'm on dial-up at dad's house so I can't listen to the blips, but I heard a bit of it on tv. Not very impressive.

  3. You know I love you up there, and PETA is not my favorite group, but I have to disgree with you in this instance. How about asking ConAgra to donate to save the animals that they profit from instead of asking a non-profit organization?

I wish there was a group (OK, there probably is) who protested against huge corporations who act irresponsibly toward animals and the environment and make huge profits in the bargain.

The middle ground seems to me to be a wise place to be. I never seem to agree with radicals like PETA or super-conservatives who disguise their support of large corporations behind their talk about the family farmer (who they don't care about at all).

What is your take on this?

  4. Hi Matthew, I too have dial up and couldn't load it. Wish I could have, as I would like to have seen it.

Hello Laurie, they are all about getting us to stop keeping animals, including pets, not about doing anything for them.

Hey there FC, yeah, that too.

Hello Cubby, PeTA doesn't do actual membership like most organizations....they just take donations, which a handful of people at the top use to fund the activities of indoctrinated volunteers, and to fund themselves in their lifestyles. There is actually a movement, spearheaded by the FBI, to remove their non-profit status because of that and because they have been proven (by the IRS believe it or not) to have funded known terrorist groups.
I don't think any more highly than you do of huge conglomerate food companies though. They cheat openly on monopoly laws and price fixing and the USDA doesn't even pretend to investigate. Milk sales have been taken over by so-called farmer cooperatives, which actually are huge, foreign owned companies, which are interested only in profit. They just finished lobbying in DC to change the "make allowance" which allows them to pay farmers less money for milk used to make cheese!

  5. I have to confess... I support PETA

    People
    Eating
    Tasty
    Animals

    hahaha.

Seriously though, I do think those people are out of their minds. And if no one raised animals or kept pets, who would take care of all the animals? No one would feed them or pay vet bills etc for them, so we'd have an over run of sick and dying animals in no time.

My animals are all quite happy living here with me, having me wait on them hand and foot. My "job in life" seems to be "Animal Caretaker", or "Slave to the Critters". Why would they want to give that up?

It saddens me when any group supports terrorism... but it doesn't surprise me, having heard of some of the stunts these people pull, that they would be one group that does. They have terrorized many people who raise animals... this makes them terrorists, though perhaps of a minor degree when compared to the terrorists we hear about on the news all the time.

  6. Hi Imma, good thinking. Our animals live a pretty good life too. PeTA actually was caught by the IRS giving money to the Animal Liberation Front, a group which is known for actual violence including arson.
