They look just like my white leghorn's eggs, I did wonder where her new nest was although it's abit far away from Yorkshire England!! Seriously though I was going to ask the same question. Sara from farmingfriends
FC, they are green eggs from an Americauna hen. She hid them in the horse trailer in front of some bales of hay. However, her boyfriend the big red rooster, gave away the location by making a big fuss while she was on the nest. So tomorrow, fresh asparagus with a nice cheese and herb omelet!
Sara, gee your hen is quite welcome to lay eggs over here if she wants to. We can hardly ever find the eggs from our hens and they aren't broody, so we don't get chicks either.
I will ask the obvious question ... what kind of eggs are those?

Your omelet sounds delicious. I think I'll make one tomorrow night as well. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Laurie, I ended up having left over rhubarb crisp. Just too good to leave it all for the kids. lol
ReplyDeleteMmmm--fresh eggs! My sister has hens that lay blue, green, and brown eggs. I always hesitate before cracking them open, they're just so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI am STILL trying to convince my husband to let me raise a few chickens or something! Lucky you!!!!
ReplyDeleteChris, I love them fresh.
ReplyDeleteMrs. M, I only have five birds, but I sure would miss them if we didn't have them
