We stopped to pick some Vitamin C today
We had to run to Fort Plain today to get some barn calcite, which we sprinkle on the floor so the cows don't slip when they come into the barn.
I did NOT want to go. The garden beckons. Vigorously.
However on the way home we stopped at Cashin's and Liz and I picked two quarts apiece in about five minutes. Literally. I think it is going to be a good year for strawberries.

Definitely a good year for strawberries. I have harvested 1 gallon from my very small patch and that isn't all there is. More to come later!
So beautiful! Worth the trip, aren't they?
Thanks for the craving you've just set up!
The strawberries here this year are terrific. I hope yours are as well.
YUMMY!
Oooh! Thanks for reminding me. We have a great picking place near us too.
Joni, I couldn't believe it! The past couple of years have been pretty bad because of too much rain. Yesterday was amazing.
CC They truly are. I am about to have some for breakfast.
Matthew, sorry about that. I had my own craving yesterday, which is why we were driving around looking for strawberries....lol
Laurie, I am so delighted to have them. June is the greatest!
Cattiva, welcome to Northview, and I agree wholeheartedly!
AMWD, We have a lot of farmer type craziness going on here today or I would go pick more....like enough for jam.....
Bout time.
