  1. I wish we had some here, I think they are so cool. Pass on the peppers!

  2. Hi Joni, I have never seen so many. Must be the weather was ideal or something because they are everywhere. I can;t eat peppers at all but the kids asked me to grow some so I did...

  3. Wow! Nice picture. We hardly ever see mantis around here any more. There were more of them when I was a kid, I think.

  4. Stacy, Alan says thank you. This is the first year I have ever seen more than three or four a season. Must be they like the warm dry weather.

  5. We have those here and they get really huge! This year we've had more of those ones that look like a leaf. I always see them this time of year.

  6. Lucky you!
Ours are mostly smaller and brown.

  7. Hi FC, of course after that I had to go look up the reason for the color differences...which is basically that they come in two colors. We get a few brown ones too, but lately, only great big, incredibly tame, green ones.

  12. I still can't believe you allowed that monster to turn one of those loose in the house I have to live in. I'm already continually attacked by moths, now icky little mantises too???!!!
