My mom whipped my butt with an aluminum yardstick so hard it bent into the shape of my butt. She was the meanest mom hands down. What did I do? Uhh,,,,Well,,, I held a Bic lighter to her wallpaper to see if it would burn. It did. Then I slid a huge roll top desk over about two inches to hide it. It stayed hid for a good month until she saw the scratches it made in the floor. I couldn't sit for a week. I think that I was about eight at the time.
Stacy, I admire that lady. When I listen to the tales my son brings home from school about what his friends do on weekends it staggers me. We need moms like that
Darling wife, ha, mine to! and I agree, she did right
Cube, exactly so
NW, it tickled me
Tim, I can understand how she felt. The things kids think up to do are terrifying sometimes...lighting the wall paper definitely comes under the really scary heading!
Did you see mom and son on Good Morning America today? I couldn't because of work. Wondering now if all the big media attention isn't taking the sting out of it?
Now that totally sounds like something I would do to my kids.
ReplyDeleteDarn, I was the meanest mom. Just ask my kids! LOL
ReplyDeleteGood for her!
Sam's Darling Wife
She bought the car, she can take it away.
ReplyDeleteNeat story! Most of us wouldn't take the time, make the effort, or spend the money.

ReplyDeleteStacy, no I wasn't aware of it, but I'll bet you are right about the effect. Too bad....
