Great picture - thanks for sharing! I'm tired of winter, we've just had endless days of snow/ice/below freezing weather, but you've shown me the beauty of the season again. Sure have missed you!
Been having to be full-time caretaker for grandma, never any time to post or visit. Hope this finds you and yours well.
Marti, thanks, I know you have a lot to deal with just now and I admire you for handling it. Thanks for taking time to visit when you are so busy.
Cathy, Liz can take credit for the photo, although I spotted the bird and called her in to take it...right through the living room window. I will look forward to seeing yours tomorrow.
Linda, been at it all day and still coming down hard. Our boy's school bus went off the road, but thanks to the skill of the driver was able to get back on with no damage or injury. Why they didn't close school early is beyond me.
I guess it's true, my folks always said, "As long as the folks back east are getting it, we'll have good weather." It being BAD weather! Sorry 'bout that - the day before looked so nice. I never used to think about falling, but now I don't want to, I afraid something will break. Keep warm - loved the tracking story!
mon@rch, I was surprised that she wasn't after a pigeon or something at my feeder. Maybe there were small birds hiding down there.
FC, she says thanks
Nita, the boss fell three times yesterday and I couldn't understand it...didn't seem that slippery. Then I came crashing down on the way to the house. Man, it hurt! I couldn't even get up for a few minutes...just lay there with the snow falling on my face waiting for things to realign themselves. I was carrying a shot gun too! But it was naturally unloaded and open.

Dang. I thought I got a good picture of a Cooper's hawk today, but your moody monotone pix is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI'll try mine out tomorrow.
This snow can't last. It's February. You KNOW it's different.
Looks like the way it's snowing the bunnies might just be safe for a while. Huge difference from yesterdays post.

We had snow today also and it was the heavy stuff! Great shot and I know what the coopers wants!
ReplyDeleteGood job Liz!
ReplyDeleteThat photo captures the winter survival challenge in a moment's light.
Good shootin'.

Kill the danged groundhog! I'll bet our robins got one heck of a lesson today!
