This one's for Steve
Every now and then we revisit the barn blackboard to see what is evolving there. Steve was asking so.......
Most of this one was done by Alan...with a little help from me....and the verse was written there by Becky..."The cloud that took the form when the rest of Heaven was blue of a Demon in my view"...her favorite quite from Edgar Allen Poe
Nice, ummmmmmm so I guess this looks like you are wayyyyy past being ready for Spring? LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for making the time to do this. XOXO
Chalk board art is so ephemeral. Good to see that you're able to give them a permanence here. Gotta love the blogosphere :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, what big teeth you have! Were you all collaborating on this just before dinner?
ReplyDeleteFreste2715 is funny with his/her insinuation of winter-induced grumpiness :0) I so know the feeling.
Steve, I think it was mostly kind of Alan being a brat. I drew the little wolfy thing and he drew the big one eating it. Then he made the bear with the bow tie and beret, so I added the Gauloise.
ReplyDeleteI was going to photograph it anyhow, so I can erase the board and we can start over. So, thank YOU for prodding me a little to get it done.
Cube, it is and I am enjoying saving the stuff that gets put on there. Our son is quite an artist and it would be a shame to lose his drawings
Cathy, as I said to Steve, Alan was getting at me and having fun. The Darth Vader UPS guy being vanquished by the post office eagle is because the former left an important package down in the snow bank below the barn....
but we are indeed way grumpy over winter. It can stop any time it wants to.
Just as fascinating as the artwork is the interwoven story behind them. Great minds in NY!
ReplyDeleteThis one caught my eye especially as I had noticed a pair of healthy coyotes the other day, not more than 10 yards up the hill. And WHERE was my camera? :-)
Steve...where was it? Probably the same place mine is when I need it...on the desk.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the kind words!
Alas, it was at my side all ready to be used but the operator simply stood catatonic watching the pair of coyotes give me the wink and up the hill they went. It was one of those moments that (unless I had the camera glued to my face) was going to be one of those fishing stories you hear about. Humph.
ReplyDeleteSteve, I am sure that if you had moved to raise it they would have vanished. We see them too, but never a chance for a photo
