We will be going here soon

*****With poles and bait.
This is the end of the culvert between the two parts of Lyker's Pond.

There are Brown bullheads, sunfish and assorted minnows. There was a dense ball of them at least a yard across.

That is a lot of fish! You live in a very diverse area. So many species of birds, etc. I'm glad your sharing - since I'm pretty sure I will never get to NY.

  3. I'm assuming there is a flow through the culvert that brings small critters to start this little fishy food chain.

Do you have to wait for a season to open or is there just too much work to do?

  4. FC, just small pan fish, but plenty of them!

Nita, what a change from two weeks ago...they bull frogs were singing jug o rum, birds were everywhere and so many fish!!

FC, Yes there is a small but busy current...just work on the no fishing front. We will run over one of these evenings and drown a few worms though. I suspect there must be bass out there with so much for them to eat....bass doesn't open until June though...but we can catch sunnies and bull heads if we want to.
