Got water?
Weather fellas say two or three inches yesterday morning. I say I hate it when it thunders when we are milking. So much metal around. And nervous cows. It knocked the power out for a while, which is why there was only a wimpy post yesterday. When the lightning started making the lights flash on and off I just unplugged everything and went to the barn...
I am having algae problems in the pond so I changed the fountain. We have been hearing toads every night and I thought they were here.
However, thanks to having to reset the bedroom digital clock late last night....by guess and by gosh......
And getting it wrong........ so I got up half an hour early and went out with the dog in the not quite dawn.
I discovered that they are instead down in the heifer barn watering trough. Chlorinated water. Emptied and refilled every couple of days. Heifers snorting around in it.....Hmmm.......
They don't know what they are missing.
I'm with you....not a big fan of thunderstorms when I have to be out in them. I do love to watch them from the front porch when they are a good distance away. We didn't have thunder and lightening but a good deal of rain. It has stopped now and the sun is trying to come out. Supposed to be 90 by tomorrow. YUCK!!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos of your fountain....your flowers are beautiful. Are those cosmos? One of my favorites.
We hear the peepers down in the swamp but very few frogs. I love to hear them.
Have a great weekend!
Deb, they come right down our valley and really gather round us. I have been zinged a time or two in the barn and our electric service was blown off the house seven years ago....so I am not too fond of them.
ReplyDeleteHot here too. The guys are working on fence and I feel real bad for them. Bad day for it.
Thanks for your kind words, hope you have a great weekend too, thanks.
You can send any excess rain our way, just keep the lightshow though.
ReplyDeleteYep (puts thumb in belt hoops and taps thumbs) we'll be seeing rain right about February. Ahhhhhhhhhh.
ReplyDeleteHey I saw that scowl!!!
Last night was Oz weather. Must have seen Dorothy and Toto blow by a few times. Today nice and warm. Will send you pics of the Art/Wine festival here.
Linda, wish we could it. It has been kind of dry here too, but we sure got plenty from that storm!
ReplyDeleteSTeve, I will look forward to them. Your photos are always amazing!
