Great post! But will she preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution? The media is saying nothing about that, and that is what government is supposed to do!

Thanks for the info. I doubt I'll support McCain at all, though, because he has a proven record of not preserving, protecting, and defending the Constitution. Oh well...

Thanks for all the intersting info. I've been reading about her since the annoucement was made. I am so intrigued by the entire process and am very interested to hear in the days to come what everyone has to say. She's interesting to say the least.
I'm reserving my decision until I can be better informed.

Someone who has run a successful family and a small town, not to mention a large state, seems preferable to me than someone who has just run for Congress.

Mrs. Mecomber, thanks, Mrs. M, I don't know for sure what she will do, but it is a case, as all too often, of the lesser of two evils...not the way I like to vote, but it has been a long time since I actually voted for anyone I liked.

deb, It came in an email from cattle Network, the source of a lot of good stuff. I remember a few odds and ends about her, as I find both politics and Alaska fascinating. I find this entire election painful, as the political maneuverings are so very blatant and there is so little substance on either side of the aisle.

Jan, thank you. Very well said! They keep ranting about her lack of experience...the head of the ticket on the other side doesn't have much meaningful experience either...he never showed up for work. Not unlike our own personal junior senator, who never went to work either...not that we minded that at all. lol

I want to know where all the people who supported Hillary because Obama is too young and inexperienced are now! It still is a man's world. As usual it will be a decision of who is the best of the worst. The press here is having a field day with her membership in the NRA - like that is a bad thing...

Well you certainly can't accuse her of being a Washington insider. Which has to be a good point.

Nita, we were discussing the exact same thing. Amazing how quickly people forget.

Tipper, I am amazed by a person from what is called the last frontier being offered such a position of power. This is going to be a lot more interesting than I expected it to be I think

Boy, I am for her 100% I was going to vote for McCain anyway, I didn't want to, he gives in too much to the Dems and their Global Warming Theory. Remember when Greenland was Green!
She went up against some powerful Republicans in the "old boy netork" and killed the bridge to nowhere. She sent the saved tax money back to the people! She is my hero!

Mom, I want to hear the temperature figures for this summer here in the Northeast. We had some hot days, but it seemed pretty cool to me. Love you

Add this: Sarah Palin has said that the Iraq war is part of God's plan...so is drilling in the National Wildlife Preserve. She has asked us to "pray on it". Please join me in prayer.

That is the scariest thing I've heard yet. If that pair gets elected we are doomed. I don't care for Obama either but this mad women made the decision easy.

Every now and again, somebody special comes along. I think she just has.
