Weird Sky at Morning

Cold people take warning. 14 degrees just now, with snow forecast for next week. Had to put the cows in the barn even during the day yesterday (they have been in nights for weeks), which means a lot more time spent taking care of them. Really need to get the corn done before the snow arrives. Don't know how it is going to happen.

  2. Being a Florida girl, I have a hard time wrapping my mind around fourteen degrees.

14 degree's is brrrry cold, but we nor'easterner's know it's gonna get a whole lot worse before it get's any better.....in case you don't know i'm a warmweather fan...:)

i think it makes it even harder when we go from a 60 degree day to 20 in a matter of hrs...shocks our system

best wishes on the remaining harvest and hope it's eventful in every way!

  5. Boy do I understand about the corn harvest. If the snow does come, maybe your husband will then beable to get into the fields and finish.

Do you have many acres left?

14 degrees in November does seem extreme. I'll bet the cows love the barn, eating, sleeping, pooping all in covered shelter. I can just see all the work it makes for you though.

By the way, I'm for the pleasantly plump person! :)

  7. Nita, thanks so much. Just as cold again today with a sharp wind. Normal January weather for us here.

Dani, if you wear enough clothes you can work in it, but it isn't a lot of fun.

anon, Yes, you are right about that. It will soon be even more miserable and except when the wind gets going I don't even mind this much. No mud! Thanks so much for the good wishes!

Linda, thanks so much. He doesn't really have much left, but it is so hard to get all the chores done and then get all the machinery moving in this weather, then get any loads in before dark. At least it is winding down. A few more good days and it will be done...I hope

Anon, I will second that today...bring some right here where the wind is blowing on my feet!
