Free Snow
Here is part of an ad that ran on Craigslist yesterday.
I was so glad I took a second to click on the free stuff tab.
Wish I'd thought of it first!
I have placed several feet of almost new snow at the end of my driveway
Never skied on never peed on
come and get it
first come first serve
Here is another good one. (Have I mentioned that I love Craigslist...thanks Teri)
To the gentleman who helped my Blue Pontiac out of the ditch today off of Albany Shaker today. You were so nice to pull my car out with your tow truck, even though I offered cash you refused and did for free. Thank You! This spirit is what the season is all about! I will pass it along...Merry Christmas to everyone! Bless all of you nice people!
OMG, that is just too funny - if he runs out, I know where there is more :)
ReplyDeleteI love the ad about the tow truck...the christmas spirit can still be found - thankfully.
Craigslist is great..we search it often and have picked up a few good deals.
Have a great weekend ~
oh we've got some of that nice free stuff too...but you better hurry, i can't guarantee it won't have been pee'd on for too long...doggy goes outside frequently!
ReplyDeleteDoes he deliver?
ReplyDeleteFred Our free snow is all off the drive way now been working on it since 8:00 This morning. Lisa been helping with the plow truck. Kegan is out cleaning up the small stuff with the garden tractor. Playing mostly.

Great ad and it's always nice to hear of something good for a change. Thanks for sharing. Oh and I had yesterday and today off!!
ReplyDeleteWe'll take all the snow you've got, pee or no pee!
ReplyDeleteWe'll take all the snow he's got, pee or no pee!
ReplyDeleteI love CL for the funny ads. We have a huge Russian population here, and we almost wet our pants reading the ads, some are a little hard to figure out though!
ReplyDeleteLinda, you can have our snow, it is nice and wet and heavy and full of water.
It doesn't snow where I am, but some people in the next block went up to the mountains yesterday and brought back a pick up bed full of...yes, snow.
ReplyDeleteI always remember what my dad taught me about eating the yellow snow.... :-)
ReplyDeleteSee ya at the Sunday Challenge and thanks for the meme challenge...Ed
Love the collage, 3C. Black cat sure stands out!
ReplyDeleteWoooo hooo craigslist! I love that you shared those, I have a huge smile on my face! I'm still so busy with the baby (llama) that I'm way behind on craigslist. For awhile I had to check 2-3-4 times a day so I wouldn't miss anything. Soon, I will be back in gear! Thanks again for sharing those priceless bits.
ReplyDeleteDeb, there was just a bit more to it in fact, but this is a family blog, and although the rest was the funniest part, I hesitated to put it in. good thing I copied it because it didn't stay up very long. You have a great weekend too!
ReplyDeleteAnon, yeah, ours has been under the dog too so to speak lol
FC, I think it is on a come and get it basis...hope your dad is doing okay!
Matt, we are pretty much plowed out too, but the second assault is underway from the looks of the dogs when they go outside (still dark) and the plows they are a roaring...stay warm. Love you
NYV, great timing there. Hope you and yours are safe and warm today too. We are sure getting an early winter!
Linda, please, take all you want! Free shipping and handling and 20% off bulk orders!
Nita, we enjoy them immensely. Teri at Farm Life turned us on to them and we read them every day. We love to interpret the horse adds, such as "needs experienced rider" equals "insane boogerbat, will kill you if you let him"...and so on
Jan if they need a couple more loads I think I can help them....
Ed, we avoid that yellow stuff! I posted a link to mine in the comments..not sure if that is how you are working it this week.
Akagaga, thanks, he looked so cute out there in the snow. Not the greatest shot though as it was snowing real hard and I didn't want to get the camera wet.
Teri, can't thank you enough for pointing them out to us. Even when we don't find anything we can't live without they are hilarious.
Gail, they are so much fun. We got some real nice fish for the pond from an ad last summer.
Thanks for visiting and commenting!
Love your blog, entertaining and enchanting. Have featured your blog on the front page of BC's www.holsteinnews.com under Anything & Everything HOLSTEINS with a Daily Dollop of Dairy. I borrowed your craigslist reference, too funny It is wonderful to see farming alive and lively. Wonderful blog!
