Excitement at Dansville

Check out the second tractor to run in this video from the 2009 Dansville tractor pull.

Alan is lucky enough to know the crew and driver (as do the rest of us actually) and got to go to the pull and be up close and personal with the behind the scenes action (thanks to someone whose privacy I will respect, but the kid is very grateful). Needless to say he had a heck of a time!

  6. ED, ain't it cool! lol

Linda, it is amazing. I rarely actually go to pulls because the noise is painful but I do just love to watch the video!

Matt, isn't it a great video! Whoever shot it and put it together did a fantastic job. Love you too kiddo.

NYV, I was so impressed by that pull! Just classically perfect. As I said, I don't generally go to the pulls because of the noise, but I am so grateful that you sent me the video. It was very well done and it was so cool to actually see the great oil spill and Mark's spectacular run. Thanks!

SC Momma, I'll bet they would. You should see the grandstand and parking lot when the pulls come to our local fair. Every guy for miles and miles around is there to experience the thunder and flash...and quite a number of girls too. Me I stay down at the Cow Palace if we have cows there...and keep them company...lol

    Jeffro, Yeah!!!

  7. I think it is kind of sad that this activity has gone the way of so many others. These hybrid "tractors" are nothing like real life. I remember when a tractor pull was just a bunch of local farmers competing. Am I just being old-fashioned?

  8. Islagringo, we are lucky enough that we have the best of both worlds. At our own county fair we have several classes of tractors, from out of the field, where guys just bring in their farm tractor to the big super modified ones. Then at another fair where we show cows they have an antique tractor pull, with the oldies that our fathers and grandfathers drove doing the pulling. We even have lawn tractor pulls! So we have something for everyone. lol
