Who Needs TV?

Or what I saw from the sitting porch yesterday as we waited out another rainy day...

On another note, Google is after me to upgrade how much storage I use here at Northview and on Garden Records and the View at Northview. Rather than send them twenty bucks I really can't afford to spend on playthings, I am going to go back and remove some of my less than stellar photos and not so interesting posts. Thus if you have any old favorites....now is the time, so to speak. Or let me know and I will leave 'em. Thanks for reading..

  4. Sorry to hear you'll still getting unneeded rains, but these scenes are great!

Funny thing about the Google/Picasa storage.....mine just reached that point of needing an upgrade, too. I had been wondering what would happen when my percentage of use reached close to 100 percent. Actually, I was surprised at how inexpensive an additional 10 GB is, at $20/year. At least, I thought it was a pretty good deal and had been worried that it would cost more than that. Do what you feel best, though.

  6. Nice shots, about Google charging, don't they know what is good for them is more blogs and readers not less. Ask Classmates.com how many kept using their site when the fees started flying. Save your twenty bucks and save the really great stuff to a CD for your great grand children.

  8. Your viewing sure beats anything on summer TV! Those are beautiful shots!

Sure have missed visiting you, we've had a hectic time with grandma's illnesses. Big hugs to you!

  9. Matt, yeah, the top one is one of the local house wrens.

Scott, not very clear pics, but it seemed so cool that so many animals went by in the few minutes I had to sit out there

lisa, your deer shots are a lot better, good job

Jeanelle, I know it isn't a lot of money, but every cent is earmarked these days. I will probably end up paying for the upgrade, but for now I will take down some insignificant pics from years gone by...No one really looks at them anyhow...

Joated, sun bathing I guess. he is up there all the time...took me a while to get a photo though..he is also quicker than scat!

Earl, you know I thought the same thing. Northview has been around a while...don't they want it to stay on Blogger? Oh, well, there are posts that are far from thrilling that can just go bye-bye

WR, I got an email from them telling me that I was above 80%. It is the large pics I use, but I like them...

Marti, thanks, I think of you often with all you have been given to deal with in the last couple of years....take care and hugs to you too.

  11. I'm sick of gray skies, rain and cold. The birds don't seem to mind so much.

I use one Picasa account for all of my blogs and I'm not close to using up my storage space because I resize all of my pictures to 300X400 before I upload them. You might want to consider doing that in the future. I don't understand the technology involved but online they look OK. I use FastStone Image Viewer to resize them which is free to download. Just make sure you save your pictures with a new file name so you still have your high resolution originals. (I add "sm" to the end of the file name.)
