For Mom
To be 57 years old, children grown, almost 40 years on my own, and yet to still be lucky enough to know a mother's love.
There can't be anything more special.
Thanks for the un-birthday cake Mom. Banana cake. You make the best ones...it's the only way I like bananas. You didn't have to do it, but it was so kind and caring that you did when you are so sick.
And it is so good.
We love you. Hope you feel a little better each day....
Love,
Dotter
What a wonderful mom you have! Hugs to you both. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I wish we didn't have to see her go through this. But we will get to have her around for us a lot more years to come!! Hang in there and think positive!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry your Mom is so ill right now - that's just so darn hard to watch them suffer....you are so blessed and obviously so is she :)
ReplyDeleteWishing her a speedy recovery!
What a beautiful post for your mom. Happy Birthday to you!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, to you 3C's, I hope you have a day full of wonderful surprises that make you laugh and smile....Warm wishes to your mom.
ReplyDeletehappy bday! sorry to hear about your mom. she sounds like an awesome lady. come see my cow pics. thought about you and teri when i traveled upstate ny!
ReplyDeleteYour mom must be a wonderful woman to have inspired such a beautiful post. She's in our prayers!
ReplyDeleteDani, I have always loved her...one does...but watching her deal with the terrible challenge of chemo I am simply in awe. She is amazing. I didn't expect a birthday cake, although it has been great fun for the past fifty odd years to have her make those wonderful banana cakes for me. On my birthday she was just too tired and sick, so Alan got some pizza and we went to see her and dad. Then she called this week to tell me that she had made one.
ReplyDeleteWow!
Lisa, isn't she the greatest! I hope she is well enough to come up to camp even for an hour or two.
Deb, thank you! She is an amazing person....just incredible.
Nita, thanks...it was actually the fourth, but...
WW, I had a good one thanks,
and thanks for your kind words for mom
KK< actually I had been over to see them and got quite a chuckle. So typical of heifers to want to establish who is the biggest cheese like that.
SC Momma, I am so proud of her...thanks for your kind words. Hope those darned bricks get over it soon so your life can resume normalcy.
I hope your mom improves quickly and can enjoy more than a few hours at camp.
ReplyDeleteHappy Wonderful belated birthday to you threecollie. Banana cake - yummy!
ReplyDeleteApple, thank you. Last cycle she felt better by the last week and we are hoping that happens again as that is camp week.
ReplyDeleteTeri, thanks! It was actually on the 4th, but mom was too ill for cake baking. I was amazed when she made this one later on and it was so good! I love banana cake...it is really the only cake I do like....except maybe Mom's applesauce cake. lol
