Sunday Stills...Fences

I had to hit the archives this week. This is a fence that we were quite glad was there.....

And below, is what most of our fences look like this rainy, rainy summer.....

  6. Excellent! I'm sure glad the fence around the bulls is strong. I've been to a rodeo where several bulls crashed into it and a bronc tried to climb it.

  7. I love the rodeo fence!! I wish I could go to a rodeo!

  8. I would still be far far back from the fence in the first picture.

Your second picture . . . that's why I didn't venture down into our own fields: I don't own any hipwaders...

  9. Steel pipe is far better than most alternatives when considering ornery critters that weigh nearly a ton!

I like the shrubbery covered wire, it looks so cool and lush. Bulls like that need to be behind a stout fence that's for sure.

  11. I like the contrast of the two photos--one dusty and filled with action and the other lush and quiet! Great choices!

Wish you could send your rain down here!

  12. Nice action shot. Bet everyone was happy that fence was there except for the bull.

  13. MSW, yeah, it made the show ever so much more entertaining. lol

    Ed, Thanks

Paints, we kind of need em don't we?

WB, thanks, yeah, the one under the shrubbery just fences off an empty field. It provides a hiding place for the turkeys and deer I guess

TCS, right time, right place. lol

CTG, we have been to a couple where the fence really wasn't up to the job...it adds a certain nuance to the occasion to know that should a bull decide to hop up into the stands with you it can...not that one ever has, thankfully. lol

Lisa, right now would be good, wouldn't it?

June, For most of that particular rodeo, we were quite a ways back because a huge storm blew up. Took the cowboy's hats and tossed them away down the track...on the field one, that is why I didn't go up and get something more interesting. It has just rained and rained and rained. Poison ivy everywhere....

Jeffro, it gave me a certain amount of comfort at least...and provides a nice perch for display of cute cowboy butts.

LInda, there is so much growth that you can't even tell that there is a cattle panel fence around our yard...it is complete buried and that little bit is the only place I could find visible wire. And as I said above it is full of poison ivy this year

    fw, thanks!

Regular Guy, thanks, the fence doesn't usually help much with the photographic aspect of the show, but I am always glad of it!

  14. Good fecning indeed. hehe! Nice action shot, too.

Is that poison ivy I see through that fence? gah! It's so lush where you are.

  16. Laughing Orca, thanks, I believe it is...we have so much of it everywhere this summer. It is terrible

Far Side, thanks, they are all like that! I was hard pressed to find any wire anywhere that wasn't covered with weeds
