Last night.
Strange clouds lined up from North to South
All the way across the sky
Like the backbones of sketchy fish
Laid out row on row
Across the sliding moon

Beautiful! I tried getting some pics the other night, but all I got was a blurry, bouncing moon. :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot! You are so poetic!
ReplyDeleteI like it. Picture and prose!

Wasn't the moon last night... amazing! I think I got one good shot.
ReplyDeleteIt was also a blessing, seeing as I don't have lights on the tractor. :)
Neat shot, neat words.
ReplyDeleteHow's your kindling supply?
Dani, thanks, mine is lame compared to what the sky looked like. It was amazing later in the night, but I just didn't have the time or gumption to get out the tripod and call the kid to help me set the camera...so words had to do it
ReplyDeleteLisa, thank you
JB, as I told Dani, no time to do the picture justice so....thank you
Linda, sorta
Thanks!
Sara, thanks. I love farmers! I love to hear how we use the real tangible features of the world to help in the hard work of day to day. LIke the moon when you have no headlights. Most folks have no idea.
FC, thanks! Believe it or not, though I use it regularly I still have over half of what you sent me. I am very, very sparing with it because it is very, very good stuff. Only when I have nothing but wet, green wood do I get out a stick and put it deep in the heart of my aspiring fire for the additional kick that it gives. The round box you sent it in lives on the big scales in the dining room awaiting the need for heat when there is none. You made my life a lot better when you sent it. Thanks!
