An External Combustion Engine
Is not a thing to be wished for.
And Tupper Lake is a long way from home.
***We made it home all right, but it was a trip from Hell. Becky is home to stay and I am more thankful than you could possible imagine that I never have to make that trip again...especially with a car that keeps catching on fire whenever you stop.
Darn....that sounds like one miserable trip!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are all home safe and sound and I know its wonderful to have Becky home :)
Yikes! Glad y'all are ok, home and safe!
ReplyDeleteYowza! Catching on fire?
ReplyDeleteGlad you are safe!
WHAAAT?
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear your ALL home safe and sound. Let the MERRY MAKING begin!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteBoy, oh, Boy and I was thinking about driving for you. I should of, sorry.
ReplyDeleteWHAT?! That's all you're going to say? Leaving the rest to our imagination?
ReplyDeleteNo, an external combustion engine is NOT a good thing at all.
Good to hear that you made it, however.
Deb we were dreading it anyhow just because of the weather...below zero and the miles and miles of black ice. The car catching fire was just icing on the icing so to speak
ReplyDeleteJeffo, it was another day for kissing the ground and singing I'm alive when we were finally parked in our spot behind the house
FC, yeah, the engine caught fire 120 miles from home. lotsa fun
Pablo, yeah, an engine fire! Thank God for iced tea
Sara, hear, hear!
Lisa, I am so thankful that I never have to drive up there again...well, maybe as far as Long Lake just because I love it but...
Jaoted, well, the engine caught fire in the parking lot at the Tupper Lake Stewarts. Alan thought it was a small leak of oil from the valve cover gasket. He put it out with ice tea and we proceeded with prayer and trepidation because we had very little choice. As long as we kept moving the air blew any flames that popped up out, but we were terrified at every single stop sign.
The car catching fire was just icing on the icing so to speak
ReplyDeleteYou are a hoot!
Glad that's over. I HATE driving on wintry roads. Just did it a couple days ago. Course, my engine wasn't flaming. That would have sent me over the edge.
