I answered every single one of your kind and interesting comments individually. Then blogger ate my answers. So.....the toys were a Christmas gift from my Amazing Mom. She gave them to me Saturday at our family get together and the instant I saw them I knew my dilemma as to what to post for this exercise was answered. They are labeled made in occupied Japan, so they probably date to just after WWII. I am amazed that such fragile little treasures survived so many years. Thanks for all your comments!
