The New Roo
Teri gave this guy to Liz. I like hearing his crow and he seems to like his lodgings in the new hen house with the striking hens. Hope he can talk them into laying us some eggs.
Cathy...we were kidding...you know we were kidding right? It was just one of those coincidental bits of foolishness. Not that the eggs weren't welcome.lol
Oh my! He's a handsome boy for sure.
ReplyDeleteCertainly a handsome looking bird. Hope he's not so in love with his own voice that he forgets his job!
ReplyDeleteI've got eggs out the wazoo! Shame we don't live closer...
ReplyDeleteHe is a dandy......love his tail feathers.
ReplyDeleteYep, he's a handsome beast and I think he knows it!
ReplyDeleteI just love to hear rooster's crow, and watch them take care of the hens. But I don't like how they can turn mean and how they ride the hens to death.

ReplyDeleteDani, Teri has the prettiest chickens
ReplyDeleteJoated, he done good
Dani, wish we did on several counts...
WW, I love red and grey chickens
Linda, he is a nice little fellow and he has such a cute crow
LindaB, we have a cure for the bad ones....but this guy seems very gentle and sweet
FC, if the two eggs we got yesterday after a winter-long drought are anything to go by..
This is reeaaallly embarrassing.
ReplyDeleteDo you have to have a rooster around for a hen to lay eggs?
Oh my gosh.
