Nita, thanks, it is crowded because that is all the ground I have been able to get worked up. We get quite a lot of stuff off it though.
Kegan, they are tall! I am hoping the storms don't break them all down. I have already lost two big ones.
Dani, lol, yeah, that
Linda, He was grumping because I wouldn't let him stand in my beans to be photographed. It was wet and I didn't want him to touch them.
I feel bad that I didn't encourage some volunteer sunflowers among the beans. The little birds are not happy with me.
Wow! You must use some mighty rich compost! Spectacular!
Wow...those are tall sunflowers beside a tall son-flower;)
Jan, lol, I let them go almost anywhere they want to sprout. It is so much fun in the fall when the little chickadees and blue jays come to eat the seeds. There are always a couple of the little multibloom ones by the porch and the chickadees come right on in.
WW, I was lucky enough to have an amateur seed breeder from down by Rhinebeck give me seeds he bred for huge sunflowers a few years back. They are amazing!! I haven't planted any in a couple of years. They just keep volunteering....and then, whenever anybody finds a pile of nicely composted manure they bring me a skid steer bucket or wheelbarrow for the garden. I even got composted manure for mother's day. lol
Linda, lol, I am going to tell him you said that!
He may be reluctant but he's sure cute :0)
I can smell the green. Lordy I wish I had a garden. If it weren't for my brothers, I'd be frantic for late summer garden smells.
The best on this sweet earth.
Cathy, he was ticked because there were nettles. lol And I love being in a garden as well, sounds, sights, scents, tastes....it is all good.
