One of my favorite toys when I was small.
Very plain plastic horses cost a nickle up at the dime store.
Just slightly fancier ones were ten cents.
This guy cost thirty-nine cents and it took me a good while to save it I can tell you.

Far Side, thanks, although my mom is a fine carver I must admit she bought the cow for me at a carving club show...sorry I wasn't clearer. She is a wonderful painter, amazing writer and talented seamstress too. I love the wonderful artistic quilts she has made us
