Thinking Thankful Thoughts

I have been lately. So many of you who come here to read about life on our small family dairy farm have helped us in amazing ways over the past year. Friends, family, people whom we have never met, but who would certainly be friends if we did, have helped us put another year behind us....still milking cows, still doing what we do, despite all odds, and they have not been good odds. When we ran out of feed last winter, people helped. People called from far away to offer help. You were so good to us, who had done nothing to deserve the goodness.

It was humbling...there were amazing acts of kindness. From seeds for the garden, neat things to plant from far away, to kind words of support when the world seemed black and frozen.

You are good for our hearts and our home and our lives and I just wanted you to know that we have not forgotten and we thank you every day that comes....

  1. I thank you for coming and posting as steady as you do. I read quite a few blogs and it is amazing how many start out strong and then stutter and die. I am thankful for all I have also and having your blog to read and enjoy is one of those things I am thankful for! Keep milking and writing!

  3. Oh my goodness! Thank you Three collie for sharing your lives with us! I know every morning I can check in on my New York "friends" and see what your take on the day is. You mix it up and write about so many interesting things.

I have come across many blogs, but I only read 4 religiously, and yours is one of them.

You have made us welcome in your home and heart - the thanks goes to you!

SCMomma, thanks for your kind words. I have learned much from you as well...from geo caching to that incredible, amazing, marvel of a parade float. And the hay bales and oil business...that fascinated a lot of folks here, far from the disaster.
