We have to call him George now, even though that isn't his name
Here is an interview with the folks about the gun show this past weekend. Very nice....except that his name's not George.
And aren't George and Alice a fine looking pair...with nearly sixty years of marriage behind them!
Now I have to believe that reporters don't hear very well! Or is it, that they don't LISTEN!

ReplyDeleteBut...but...but...It's in the papers! It MUST be true! Perhaps his real name IS George. Really just how well do you know this fellow?
ReplyDeleteSheesh! Journalism 101: Get the names right! It sells papers. All the relatives will want to buy a paper. (Even Sir Terry Prachett understood this and touts it in the Discworld series.)
BTW Say "Hi" to Alice and this fellow George for me.
Fine lookin' family you got there girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteLOL There's an old guy that always calls Terril....Harold. This post reminds me of that!
ReplyDeleteA rose by any other name .. . .:)

Guns of the West. Keith loves 'em.

Linda, Harold huh? ...a lot of folks call Ralph by his dad's name, which is nothing like Ralph but...
Cathy, they have done amazing things over the years and they just keep doing them.
Mappy, lol, he certainly is not a George is he? lol Love you too and miss you.
ReplyDeleteCathy, I will give mom a call today and ask her. I would be surprised if they didn't have something like that as they have a very extensive inventory. You can go on their website for some of the books they have. Tryon County books over on the sidebar.
PS.
ReplyDeleteYea!
I visited their bookstore, online, interesting stuff. Sixty years, sixty good years.
ReplyDelete"Dad" deserves his name to be reported correctly..for what he's merited over the 60 years and with Alice! So (people) next time..get the name right!
ReplyDelete---my two cents.
Great article, but how stupid to not get your Dad's name right!!!! GRRRR
