Stale Peeps




An Easter tradition since the nineteen eighties.

    The trick is to buy so many that the tail-end of the pile has a chance to 'age' like a fine wine.

  5. I buy them after the holiday and put them in the freezer. I like them in my hot chocolate, the extra sugar just makes the chocolate taste so good. The freeze well.

    Joated, I never liked them, but stale they are just about edible. Liz however, is crazy about them

    Cathy, lol, that would work. Liz buys them special to age them

    Linda, the only way I can stand them, although ellie k below has given me an idea I am going to try.

  8. ellie k is right. They do freeze well. But you lose a lot of the fun of the original. I'd rather just eat them stale, just makes them chewier.
