Very nice. Is that your house? Interesting roof. :)

  2. Oh, those hills! They just make my heart sing. If you look through the mists almost directly to your south you'll see me waving. :-)

The architectural detail on your house is gorgeous, and valuable! We had a historic building consultant for Small Pond who made up her own term for the decorative gable-end vent screens (DGEVs). Almost every house has unique designs.

  6. You south and east views are gorgeous....the one of the road looks like something around here. Amazing what each direction brings.

  8. Dibear, thanks, it is our house...that is the tower

June, well, hey there! I am waving back. There were two houses like this at one time, roughly across the river from each other. Sadly the other one burned down some time ago

RG, it is at least getting closer and most of the snow is gone

    WB, thanks!

MT, thanks, it was chilly, but not at all unpleasant.

Linda, thanks, I was looking at yours and thinking that many of the views are astonishingly similar. That is the driveway up to the house.

Achieve, thanks, it is an amazing old place, but sadly in need of some serious paint.

  9. Beautiful! And since we are putting a roof on our house all I could think of was trying to roof that roof!

    Cool photos!

  10. Linda, OMG, the roofs are a nightmare! Peaks and valleys and way up there in the wind (the pic is the tower, which is 72 feet high) Yowsa!
