Mystery Solved

What has been happening to my catnip plant? I kept finding it tipped over and the stems all crushed. I thought it was the wind, but I guess not.

  1. That is pretty funny! I had a container of it on my desk and one day I found it opened and scattered all over the top of my desk what a mess ;)

  2. Had you noticed that that particular kitty had been a little . . . happier than usual? :-p

  3. Catnip and free range kitty? Not a good combination. Next the Kitty will be hanging out on corners, looking to scrounge a free meal, sleeping all day, doing little or no work....

Oh! Wait! That's a cat's NORMAL routine! Nevermind.

  4. That was cute. Hope that kitty doesn't tell of her friends, or you will have a whole yard full of cats partying around the cat nip :)

  5. Funny that you caught it in the act. I am sure it is happier than usual.

  7. LIsa, I looked out the kitchen window and flat out cracked up. I have been wondering why only the catnip was blown over by the wind. lol

June, in fact we did! We saw her lying in the horse trailer looking kind of cross-eyed and dumb and the kids though she was dying of something. Nope, just high as the moon. lol

Joated, most of our cats pay no mind to catnip. Dunno why. I was shocked to see Athena mauling and mewling over the pot...er...nip...lol

LL, most of our cats aren't interested in it for some reason. Athena sure seems to like it though

LIsa, I was wondering why she started coming over by the house. Now I know. lol

LG, I dug it out of the garden before the BF rototilled it for me and potted it up for Elvis, the house cat's enjoyment next winter. It was really attractive when I first potted it. Then it went all to heck. Now I know why. I set it up in the birdbath where it has its own moat to protect it from Athena. lol
