Linda, this one isn't actually our fair. It is a couple hours away, but we went out to see one of Alan's friends who shows cows there. The big white cow and the red heifer the other day are hers.
Joated, I love 'em! Always something happening on the track at the harness races and the horses tend to last so much longer. I have worked at both tracks, harness and flat, and although the flat track has the glamour, I love the trotters.
Cathy, thanks! The backstretch was right by the cow barn so all we had to do was step outdoors.
And I just love county fairs. Thanks for taking us there.

Something very graceful and genteel about watching the trotters. Maybe it's the very controlled power they display.
