This sunfish had amazing luck, but lousy judgement. If you look closely you can see big gouges on its side where a predator sought lunch. Then Alan caught if off the porch and released it. Two days later his cousin caught the same fish right in front of the porch and released it again. Instead of live and learn I guess it's live but don't learn.
Lovely. Looks like such a peaceful place!
ReplyDeleteAaahhh Looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAwwww . . . I love the peek-a-boo mallard.
ReplyDeleteDo you have anymore pixes of that blue heron.
Something not quite right there. Could just be the light, but I'm wondering if it's leucistic.

That 'is' a blue heron, isn't it?

Rev. Paul it is my favorite place in the world. I get up at five-twenty each day and have it almost to myself. Later there will be boats and kids, but the morning is a glory.
ReplyDeleteThanks
SC Momma, thanks, it is, it is...
Cathy, she was puzzling me because I kept hearing splashes...she was right next to my chair on the porch, which hangs out over the lake. I wondered what it was doing the splashing until I finally saw her down there. I do have another pic of the heron. I think it is just a juvenile great blue. I will put it up.
